Codeine Phosphate Tablets are used to relieve mild to moderate pain.

They may be used on their own or in combination with other painkillers like paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Codeine is an opioid analgesic (a type of painkiller) which works by blocking pain signals in the brain and spinal cord.

These tablets are usually prescribed when everyday painkillers, such as paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin, have not been effective on their own.

Codeine phosphate can be used for:

• Headaches

• Migraines

• Toothache

• Muscular pain

• Rheumatic pain

• Period pain

• Post-operative pain

Important Note:

Codeine phosphate carries a risk of dependency if taken for extended periods.
It should only be used for short-term pain relief (no longer than 3 days) unless directed otherwise by a doctor.
Always use as prescribed and do not exceed the stated dose.
